Black Bear has long been an icon in Thredbo, recognized for decades as one of the village’s most established names. Now, with the launch of Thredbo’s newest high-end development, a new Black Bear is rising with its own purpose-built restaurant, and we are inviting an experienced operator to shape its future.

Designed by one of Australia’s leading architectural firms, POPOVBASS, and built by one of the most well-respected architectural builders, Bellevarde Constructions, Black Bear is nestled in the heart of Thredbo, Australia’s most iconic alpine resort.

Thredbo has been regarded as the benchmark of Australian ski culture, celebrated for its good snow conditions, vibrant nightlife, and international reputation.

Thredbo is renowned for its exceptional range of snow events and nightlife during winter seasons and its adventurous summer sports. In winter, Thredbo welcomes thousands of skiers and snowboarders, ensuring a strong and consistent clientele for high-quality dining. In summer, the resort thrives with mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and festivals, drawing a dynamic crowd and guaranteeing activity throughout the year.

The restaurant is located on Level 1 and just a short walk to the Thredbo Village Square, featuring a large corner window that overlooks the ski slopes and Thredbo’s famous Saturday night fireworks.

The restaurant consists of 175m2, with designated bathrooms fully fitted out, and a cellar storage space that can hold up to 2,500 bottles with a further 3,000 bottles close by.
